ABOUT ALUMINUM WHEELS
In the past few years, Hayes Lemmerz has significantly expanded our capabilities in the passenger car aluminum wheel segment. We are able to produce aluminum wheels for passenger cars and light trucks in sizes up to 24" with a wide range of finishes, including bright machining, high gloss, chrome shadow, chroming, chrome plating and anti-brake-dust paint. Each of our 10 aluminum wheel plants offers complete process capability on casting, machining and painting.
Our recent push toward light-weight technologies such as optimized design, rim reduction thickness, rim burnishing, hollow hump and hollow spoke has earned us a position as one of the world leaders in the light-weight wheels industry.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Hayes Lemmerz produces cast aluminum wheels at 10 plants throughout the world. We manufacture a variety of sizes, ranging from 13" (diameter) to 22". Cast aluminum wheels enjoy a high degree of styling flexibility and can be finished with an endless selection of coatings, finishes or claddings. We conduct extensive computer modeling during the design phase of our cast aluminum wheel program to ensure optimum solidification, load distribution and weight optimization.

ALUMINUM PAINTED/BRIGHT MACHINED
Hayes Lemmerz is capable of meeting almost any finish requirement for cast aluminum wheels. We offer a wide variety of painted finishes as well as optional bright-machined finish. Our 3- and 4-coat paint processes produce wheels with bright silver, shadow chrome or colored finishes.
ALUMINUM GEMTECH™
With our proprietary Gemtech™ process, Hayes Lemmerz brings a new finish option to our customers. Gemtech™ wheels undergo a proprietary process that yields a brilliant, mirror-like surface without the added weight and the traditional cost of chrome-plated wheels. We can also paint window pockets in any number of colors to create accents ranging from subtle to dramatic.
ALUMINUM NOVACHROME™
To meet the demand for increasingly popular chrome wheels, Hayes Lemmerz has taken the next step in chrome wheel technology. Novachrome™ plating gives a whole new look to the chrome-plated wheel, yielding a mirror finish in the spokes while retaining the crisp, sharp corners that our customers prefer, but that traditional chrome plating processes wash out. As an added bonus, we offer a variety of window pocket finishes.
ALUMINUM CHROME CLADDING
Clad wheels are produced by permanently attaching a stainless steel or plastic cladding to an aluminum wheel. Claddings are frequently chrome plated, but can also be painted. New material advances now allow premium surface finishes such as Chrome Shadow and Blade Silver. In any application, permanently attached claddings give the appearance of a premium wheel without the premium price.
