Hayes Lemmerz International, Inc. has a proud history tracing back to the earliest days of the automobile industry. We were founded in 1908 when we manufactured wooden spoked wheels for the Ford Model T. Since then we have become a leading global supplier of wheels and other components for the passenger car and the light, medium and heavy duty truck markets.
Today, we enjoy a worldwide presence and customer base with 24 facilities in 13 countries serving every major North American, Japanese, and European manufacturer of passenger cars and light trucks and commercial highway vehicle customers throughout the world. We are continuing to focus our business on our core products while expanding our manufacturing footprint in growing markets where we are close to our customers.
